Hello and welcome to my site!

I'm a 30 year-old Master of Political Science and a City Councillor. I am currently working as a political advisor to a MEP (based in Finland). Before that I have been for example an EU Advocacy and International Affairs Specialist at the Finnish National Youth Council Allianssi and a political assistant to the Minister of Education in the Finnish Parliament. I'm also doing my doctoral studies at the University of Turku. I grew up in a family that has a lot entrepreneurs in it and that was one reason for my party choice. National Coalition Party believes that we need hard-working and entrepreneurial people and sound economic decisions in order for society to flourish. I have always been keen to learn and appreciated education and the fact that getting an education in Finland is possible for people with very different backgrounds. I am the first one in my family to get a Master's Degree. I'm also mom to a 1,5 year old son and wellbeing of children and young people are close to my heart.
Southwest Finland is my home. I was born and raised in Salo, where most of my family still lives, but moved to Turku to study when I was 20 years old. Both, my hometown and the region, are close to my heart. Because of my work I travel a lot and can often be spotted on a train some-where between Turku, Salo and Helsinki.
As a politician I am young but experienced. I first started as a member of Youth Council ten years ago and advanced from there all the way up to the top of national youth and student politics. At the moment I am, among other things, a Chair of the Youth Committee in Turku, a Vice-Chair of our party group (which is the biggest group) in the City Council of Turku and a member of Regional Council in Southwest Finland. I have worked in the field of educational politics in my university's Students' Union and in the Minister of Education's cabinet. As a decision-maker I am blue-green (our party's colour is blue but I see that i'm partly green too, because I care a lot about the environment), modern and aiming for reform based on expertise.
I want to be the voice of future generations. I understand the big trends that are driving change and what they require from those who are making the necessary decisions. I know what issues can and should be changed. I have, on a long-term basis, educated myself and gained experience that is useful for a decision-maker. I am involved in politics to help build a society that is based on strong economy, education, equal possibilities and sustainable development. A vote for me is a vote for the future!

Jag är en 30-årig magister i statsvetenskap. Jag arbetar som politisk rådgivare till MEP Henna Virkkunen. Jag är också medlem i Åbo stadsfullmäktige och i Egentliga Finlands välfärdsområdesfullmäktige. Jag är med i politiken för att bygga upp ett samhälle som är baserat på stark ekonomi, bildning, jämlika möjligheter och hållbar utveckling. Som mamma till en liten son är också barns och ungas välmående extra viktigt för mig.

Jag är född och uppvuxen i Salo där största delen av min släkt bor. Jag flyttade till Åbo med anledning av studierna när jag var 20 år – båda hemstäderna och hela landskapet är kära för mig. Jag reser mycket i Finland och Europa på grund av mitt jobb.

Som politiker är jag ung men erfaren. Jag inledde min politiska karriär som medlem i ungdomsfullmäktige för över tio år sedan och efteråt har jag tagit mig fram till den ungdoms- och statspolitiska toppen på riksnivå. Jag har arbetserfarenhet inom utbildningspolitik både från studentkåren vid Åbo universitet och som undervisningsministerns assistent. Jag kan beskrivas som blågrön och modern beslutsfattare vars reformvänlighet baserar sig på sakkunnighet.

Jag vill fungera som röst för den nya generationen. Jag förstår stora förändringstrender och vad de kräver av beslutsfattarna. Jag vet hur man kan och bör påverka ärenden. Jag har långsiktigt skaffat utbildning och erfarenhet som man kan dra nytta av som beslutsfattare. Jag är med i politiken för att bygga upp ett samhälle som är baserat på stark ekonomi, bildning, jämlika möjligheter och hållbar utveckling. En röst på mig är en röst för framtiden!
